Back to the polls in Greece

Its official: Greek coalition talks have failed, and the country will be going back to the polls. On current polling, SYRIZA will likely emerge with a solid mandate to tear up the German "bailout" (actually a bailout for German banks, laundered through Greece with a side-order of pointless suffering). But things could change. In particular, the EU technocrats are likely to pull out all the stops and turn up the fear to try and terrify people into voting for a "sensible" government which will sell them out to save the German banks. That is if they don't just force them out of the Euro out of impatience with democracy...
